This weekend we took the girls and went to the KOA in Montpelier ID up the canyon and stayed in one of the Kabins up there. I'd never stayed at a KOA before and I was really impressed! We had a 2 room Kabin there was our bed in one with a desk and chair (all pine hand made) and a little shelf and a door seperating the other room and in there was two sets of bunk beds and another table and chair. There was a front porch and swing on it and it faced the river. It didnt feel at all like there was other people there until you walked around to the back of the cabin. For it being full it really felt secluded. There was a swimming pool for us to play in and the bathrooms were really nice! They werent gross and the showers were nice and clean!

THe next day we went to Bear Lake and swam. We got there around 11am and there werent too many people on the beach. It was really nice.. then we were invaded.. now before I say this let me make myself PERFECTLY CLEAR. I have NOTHING against the hispanic culture or anyone who is hispanic. I have several friends that are... but we had a nice little place set up and a large group of hispanic people moved in next to us. No big deal at all. It has nothing to do with their race, if they were lazy rednecks I would say so. If they were uptight rich white people I'd say the same thing. Just again this has nothing to do with race just inconsiderate people. They started blaring their music, had their dogs running in and out of the water where we were playing. Kids running wild all over our towels which were nicely grouped together. They got out little motorcycles and started riding them very fast all over the beach. No big deal. We can just ignore that. Everyone wants to have fun.The girls had a pile of sea shells they were gathering up for necklaces and had them sitting on the beach by our towels. This adult female and male came walking past and picked up their whole pile of sea shells!! Karli told the lady hey those are mine!! The lady looked at her mumbled something in spanish and walked off with her shells. Then another group of aprox 20 moved in right next to us on the other side. No big deal. We had our durango parked right behind our towels right behind us on the beach. Well they set up their table full of stuff between us and our durango! Still no big deal. They then got out 2 unregistered 4 wheelers and started giving a bunch of kids rides on them. There was aprox a 5 and 6yo on the back of the wheeler, one aprox the same age on the front and an infant with the driver with out helmets on any of them! They were flying up and down the beach right next to where all our stuff was. Then they started riding in the water right where Joe and the girls were playing. I was sitting on the beach with Kennedy and feeding her. They guy came right next to me while I'm sitting down feeding her with out any regard at all to where others are at on the beach! Joe is about ready to explode at this time. We just packed up our stuff and left. While we were loading up the durango they almost hit the front of it, almost hit the back of it and almost took off our door while I was putting Kennedy in there!!! There really needed to be some Park Rangers or some type of Law Enforcement out there to control it! This was the DAY after the lady ran over her family on the beach... Now I know everyone all wants to have fun on the beach and I completely understand that but what happened to the times where you had consideration for everyone who was out there? You stayed off peoples towels and where they have their stuff set up. You be considerate for others and they treat you the same.
Other than the Bear Lake invasion of incosiderate people the trip was really good! We had a blast!
