HomeMade laundry detergent

Today we decided to make HomeMade laundry detergent. My friend Alisha has made this cute website called Oakeys Odds N Ends (http://oakeysoddsnends.blogspot.com/) I got the recipe from there. It costs a few bucks to make but it filled a 5 gallon bucket 1/4 of the way. Each load only takes 1 TBS of detergent! I did my first load with it today! I didnt get to see how it turned out before I left for work but I'm so excited!
Joe was a great helper! He grated the 2 bars of soap for me on a special cheese grater we bought just for soap!
Happy to be helping :)
We also have been trying to become a little more self sufficient and work on our food storage at the same time. Learning how to make more home made things... making them.. keeping plenty of stuff on stock. We filled up one 5 gallon bucket full of flour, another full of sugar and one of potato pearls. Cleaned out some space in the laundry room for them to be stored.
Here is the finished detergent product!!! Super simple and it smells SO CLEAN!!
