Fishing in Logan Canyon at the lower dam

On Monday Joe, Kennedy and I went fishing up at the lower dam in Logan Canyon. We wanted to go up to the upper dam but it was so low.. which was surprising considering how fast the water was flowing and how high it was.
Such a nice drive on the way up there. Everything was so pretty. The weater was so nice!

I'm not going to lie... there are a ton of pictures of Kennedy! This was her first real fishing trip where she got her own pole and she had a blast!!! As you can tell by the grin in this picture!

Kennedy is ALWAYS asking to go fishing.. she pretend fishes a lot too with an imaginary pole. She was so good! I was afraid she might have a hard time reeling and she did it with out any problem at all!

I LOVE THIS!

We started her out with a hook and some bait hoping she might catch something.. well she liked to 'cast' a lot.. a lot. Flipping her pole all around. Line flying everywhere.. Reeling it in and flinging her pole around. So after a few min I decided to just give her a bobber. It worked and she couldnt hurt herself then. She didnt know any difference and had so much fun!

We decided to stop on the bridge and test our luck again

We didnt end up catching anything. The current was so fast in the river. No one around us was catching anything either. I'd never fished there before. It was a pretty neat little place to go. One of my favorite things is it was easy to access with kids. Had nice slopes down into the water so it wasnt a steep drop off and the walkway!
