Sleepy Head

Kennedy was sound asleep in her bed and I had to wake her up because we had to get ready to go. She opened her eyes, I said wake up sweetie we need to go. She looked at me, said "no" and as you can tell is squeezing her eyes closed as hard as she can to trick me into thinking she is asleep.. Little stinker! She kept it up for quite a while.. Even squoze her eyes while I was trying to put her shirt on..
Sad to say for her it didnt work! She had to get ready to go! She's pulling this now I cant imagine when she's a teenager!

To go along with this post another story. The other day Kennedy and I were running errands. She was in the backseat and so sad she'd threw all her toys out of her car seat and couldnt reach them. There was a paper in particular she'd wanted on the floor. She starts wiggling and squirming, trying to undo her car seat saying stuck! carseat! stuck! Now she's getting pissed. Fussing and squirming and tugging on everything she can to get out. Its just plain not working (thankgoodness!) All of a sudden she stops. Folds her arms. Squeezes her eyes shut as hard as she can, bows her head and says "Heavenly Father" (which sounds like heayenly fader) Opens her eyes and smiles at me. I asked her "Kennedy why did you pray?" She points to her eye and says " I cryin' "
Oh the things our children teach us! We try and pray with her at night when we tuck her in and I guess it stuck!. It worked though she was no longer worried about getting the paper and was happy.
