Potty Training

We kind of half heartedly have started potty training Kennedy. The biggest thing with her is she doesnt really realize she needs to go potty right before or during..She'll tell you right after that she went. We will take a few hours a day and put her in her "big girl princess mermaid panties" as she calls them, and make her sit on the potty several times but it never fails she goes in them and then tells us..

So today Kennedy and just gotten out of the shower and we were upstairs getting ready. She was running around naked. All of a sudden she started to go to the bathroom just a little bit and looked down and yelled "MOM!!! My pee's coming!!!" she was able to stop it and ran over to me as fast as she could. I picked her up in on scoop and held her out far from me and ran down the stairs as fast as I could. As I'm running down the stairs holding her out like she's a poop covered child she's kicking her little feet as fast as she can like she's still running. We rush down into the bathroom and I put her on the potty. She looked up at me so seriously and said "Mom my pee's not coming anymore" I told her it was ok we'd sit there and wait for it. So we patiently sat and waited.. and waited. Sweet little girl reached out and put her hand on my shoulder and patted it and told me "Mom its ok my friend pee is coming" And shortly after she went in the potty! WOO HOO! Yay for the big girl potty!

She cracks me up with the things she thinks of and says! I didnt have a potty picture so here is one of her wearing her space helmet. She told me this was her space helmet and she was getting into her blue rocket and was going to the moon.. she told me there was a green rocket too for me.
