Last Thursday night I woke up to go to work and noticed my wrist hurt like I'd slept on it wrong. Went to work and it was a little tender no biggie. Came home, slept, woke up Friday afternoon and it was so tender. Was swollen. I had a hard time holding things. Like even a coffee mug in that hand. But whatever. I don't go to Dr's. I heal fast. Life goes on...Well by Tuesday night it hadn't gotten any better at all. It hurt just as bad and was swollen still! I noticed a lump on my wrist too. It started having a lot of crepetus.. which reminds me of that popping crunching vibrating sound when you rub to pieces of broken Styrofoam together. So finally decided to go into the Dr that night. He took some x rays and said it wasn't broken... Kennedy told me my arm was full of dinosaur bones...
Keep in mind I haven't fallen, haven't hurt my wrist at all in any way or shape, haven't bumped it nothing.. So he tells me there is a lot of swelling and I could have injured the tendons or ligaments. Nothing is broken but if its not better by Tuesday I have to come back in for an MRI to see what the tendons look like. He told me I needed to not use it at all (yeah right), ice it EVERY hour for 20 min (yeah right) and elevate it constantly (again..yeah right) I'm a mom. A wife. An employee.... I did get this rockin splint to wear. You're all jealous I know.. I'm starting a trend..
We have this problem at our house whenever the wind blows bad from a certain direction it blows out the pilot light in the water heater. Haven't ever been able to figure out why. It has a cap on it and its only a certain direction. It can be very frustrating... One day this week we had no hot water pretty much all day. We kept lighting and lighting the damn thing. I was upstairs cleaning and Joe walked upstairs. He says to me "um what do you do for an explosion burn!?" I just stared at him trying to decide if he was kidding or not. Finally when I could smell singed hair I decided he wasn't lying. He had lit the water heater.. it blew out instantly and he re lit it again immediately. Well on that relight it 'exploded' Threw him partially across the room. Burned one finger. He was wearing a long sleeved shirt and the flames ran up his hand and up his sleeve singed off the hair on his arm and had. The downstairs STUNK so bad like burned hair. Thankfully he's ok.
We are tearing apart a small corner of our living room to add in a fire place. We've gotten part of it tiled and haven't let Kennedy play on the new tile. So you'd think between Joe and I being home all day we'd be able to keep and eye on Kennedy. We went to go to bed that night. Joe walked past the work spot. Stopped. Turned around and said "look what Kennedy did!"

Thankfully she stuck it in the ground! We asked her did you do this!? She said Yes.. Did you know it could hurt you!? Yes. Why did you do it? Just cause. Dang child! On a happier note......
