Daddy Daughter Duck Hunting Date

My dad and I went out duck hunting the other day out by the Bear River Bird Refuge. We haven't been duck hunting together in forever! We were just starting out in the canal here

Tug the super dog! This dog is awesome! He LOVES to duck and pheasant hunt. He found all kinds of birds that we dropped and couldn't find.

Not bad for a day of duck hunting! I'd never seen so many ducks in my life in one trip. We were told that there was a certain time that they really started flying. About 10 min before that the skies just turned black! We had groups of 30-40 coming in at once, some coming from each side in groups of 2 or 3's. They'd come in hard for about 10 min and then it would die down for 20-30 min.. then it would start right back up! They were coming in FAST too. No setting the wings and coming it. They were cruising. We had several groups of geese fly over too. Only one was low enough to shoot at.

We went back to my parents house to put everything away. At my parents when you come home with any type of game from your trip its a big family event! Me and Kinlie

Grand kids with the ducks. I was looking at Joe while he was taking out picture too.
Everyone pitches in and helps clean! Liz was excited to help! We used to fight over who got to help our dad clean when we were little. We'd get a dollar a bird!

Duck hunting was A BLAST even thought it was kind of cold to start with.. but once you get all your gear on its not bad! I had on neoprene chest waders and Joe's big heavy duck coat!
