Refinishing

This weekend Joe has worked on a few projects in the garage. I'm sure that it had nothing to do with the fact that there was a house full of girls inside... This was a bed that was my dads when he was younger, then it was mine and it survived the house fire and then became the twins. Joe stripped down the wood and reapplied some polyurethane. It was too cold outside so he had to do it in the house so it wouldn't gum up.

Another project he undertook is he made a trade his old dirt bike he never rode for a few guns. One was a Ruger .22 rifle that had a scratched up stock. He disassembled it and sanded down the wood.

Then a few coats of magic....

And this beautiful smooth finish!

He actually surprised me when he was done and gave the gun to me. He said I bought him a nice one for Christmas and he doesn't need two!
