Sledding at the Park

Kendalle, Kennedy, Kinlie and I went sledding the other day. We were watching Kinlie and she'd never really gone sledding before. We bundled up and headed to the park! It was a pretty good hike up the hill for those little legs.The plan was they would all go to the top and I'd catch them at the bottom.

I wanted to get a picture of their first big girl ride together down the hill. They were flying so fast I was only able to get half of them!

Well they FLEW down the hill!! FAST. I was going to stand in front and catch them.. they were going to fast as they were doing mach 10 towards me. I decided I'd just grab Kinlie's coat and stop them that way. I grabbed her coat and it turned me around and they flew past me. I turned around and started running after them. Right before they launched off a 3ft rock wall I was just a few inches behind them.... then I slipped... It was just like the movies. My feet flew up in front of me and I landed right on my back and butt...right as they were sailing off the rock wall. I was sick to my stomach! I was sure they'd have back injuries, or head injuries, or hurt their spine or some life long debilitating thing... I jumped up and ran to them. They were both still in the sled and quiet. They weren't laughing or cryin. Just sitting there like what the hell just happened!!

Here's Kinlie standing next to the wall to show you how big it was.We decided to go up to the 2nd part of the park where the hill was a lot smaller and they had a lot longer place to slow down with. It took a few minutes of convincing to get Kinlie in the sled with Kennedy but she had a blast after!

For some reason Kennedy cannot stay sitting up in a sled. She starts off sitting up but by the end of the ride she's almost laying down.
