Kennedys new earrings

Kennedy has been asking to get her ears pierced for a while now. She has even tried to shove earrings through her little lobes. I always told myself I would let her get her ears done when she was old enough to ask for them.. I just never thought it would be when she was 2!!! We had to go get new tires on Joe's truck so we had about an hour to kill in the mall. We were wandering around and went into Claire's. Kennedy told the girl in there she wanted her to put holes in her ears.. I just wasn't sure about it. We looked at what they had. She said there would be another girl coming in about 10 min so they could tag team Kennedy if we wanted. I told her we'd be back then. So we walked off hoping it would distract Kennedy. Nope. Every step "Mom I want earrings. Mom I want holes in my ears. Please mom it wont hurt. Please! I want to show my grandma and kinlie and my sisters them" So we went back in.

The girl was marking the spots on Kennedy's ears. Daddy was taking pictures for us. After this they had the other worker come over and they did both ears at the exact same time. The only part Kennedy didn't like is I had to hold her down. That pissed her off and made her start to cry. She hates being held down. They pierced them and she just gave a little squawk and that was it.
The girl handed her the mirror as she was crying and Kennedy told her "thank you they're very pretty!" Just a tear or two.

1 min and a sucker later all is well!!

She is so happy to have them! So far so good. I think it was harder on me than her! It was a scary though thinking of piercing those two perfect little baby ear lobes.. But it wasn't bad at all after it was done. She's not a baby any more. She's a big kid now!!
