We came back into town Sunday night from our trip and headed out Monday evening to go camping up at Temple Peak.

Kim got her tent all set up!

Joe working on ours

Miss Kennedy early in the morning. OJ and a pop tart while she's still trying to wake up. She
wasn't sure what she thought of camping.. she kept telling me she loved camping.. and then she'd cry and say she wanted to go home because everything was different.. and then she'd say how much she loved camping again!

Bedhead fanning the fire to make it bigger

We got out the
BB gun and taught the kiddos how to shoot. Kennedy loves when she gets to shoot the
BB gun

Joe and James

Kim, James, Kennedy and I went for a walk along one of the roads there. I LOVE MY JOGGING STROLLER! I love that I can plug in my MP3 player into the speakers it has and we can rock out while we walk :) Its so handy! The speaker part comes off too and I'd set it up around camp so we had a radio too.

Kim and James

He got tired and she had to carry him and the sticks he found..(remember Hailey!!
haha!!)

Kim got a little tired too and fell asleep by the fire.

That afternoon we went down into Bear Lake to get a raspberry shake!
MMM! First one of the year!

Joe and I eating.

Kennedy chasing the seagulls. She wanted to pet them.

Joe always brings a rake with us camping and rakes around the fire pit and keeps everything nice and clean.

She is such a goofy girl!!

Kim and James

I was 'hunting' and Joe took this
pict through the trees. I thought it turned out pretty neat!

That night for dinner we made hobo dinners in the fire pit. We wrapped them in cabbage so the meat wouldn't burn. Joe has hated cabbage his whole life. Hated it almost to the point of being afraid to eat it. The other day my mom made some cabbage and noodles and he loved it! Changed his mind completely about cabbage. Well when I made his I
didn't wrap his in cabbage because I knew how bad he hates it. I wrapped mine in it and seasoned it. Joe decided he wanted cabbage so I gave him some of mine. He was eating a bite of it and I picked up the rest of my leaf with my fork and went to put it on his plate. He moved his fork at the same time and bumped mine and sent the cabbage flying into the dirt. He went to start
laughing and inhaled the cabbage and started choking. He jumped up and was trying to get it out of his throat. The number 1 rule of the
Heimlich is you cant do it if they are getting any air through. It ends up doing more damage than good. We were watching Joe jump around and trying to get the cabbage out of his throat but
couldn't decide if he was fully choking or it had just gotten kind of stuck. After a few seconds I determined he really did have a full obstruction and
wasn't getting any air through.. his ears were turning purple so I
didn't the
Heimlich on him and it popped right out first shot! I've had to do the
Heimlich several times before but have never had it work so
effectively on the first time! The whole time we were camping he kept telling James to be careful around the fire because we were a long ways from the hospital and from phone
service.. and he ends up being the one who almost died! He told me he lived because God was giving him one more day to love me :) Aw! that or he just wants to make sure if it happens again I'll still do the
Heimlich :)

Me cooking breakfast

After breakfast she needed some fruity pebbles too. Cereal in a cup is the only way to go!

Kim and James shooting at a can.

My dad camps at the campground next to us usually. There was a part of it that was all washed out and had big ruts in it.. Joe loves to carve wood and make stuff while we are camping so he carved out a sign that said "
Corey's Wash" and hung it in the tree at the
entrance to the camp where they go.

Kennedy wanted a picture of her
pine cone
She has such good manners!!!!!!

Kim and James getting ready to head home.

The three of us headed out too.

Momma and Kennedy

Kennedy was so excited to be going home. The entire time she was still back and forth about liking camping and then wanting to go home.
Every time she heard a 4 wheeler she started yelling its my grandma and grandpa!! They're coming to get me!! And then she'd cry when they drove off. Then she loved camping.. and wanted to go home again. I think it was just a long week for her with us being gone and her being at different houses and then we get home and we all leave again. We got all the camp packed up and she said she wanted to stay because she loved camping..
