Wednesday-EOC

The first day of class we had to go around and introduce ourselves and say where we are from.. now remember we are CLEAR ACROSS THE COUNTRY from home.. well the 2 girls we sit by happen to be from Idaho. There are 5 people there from Washington Terrace, 5 people from South Ogden and the guy sitting next to us is a girl we work with Dad who works for TSA in SLC.......

Wednesday we started our first EOC (Emergency Operations Center) the first half of the day was class presentations. We had some neat speakers. A FBI profiler from Quantico came in to talk to us. Then they sent us off to the EOC where they gave us a city named Central City and it was in Liberty County. Its a completely fictional city and county they placed between North Carolina and South Carolina. Each one of us had an assigned task with in the EOC. Our jobs were to act like its a real city and real issue and figure out how to fix it and run the city basically following the incident command system. We had maps, census studies, business contacts, apartment information, pages and pages of information they'd made up on the city. All kinds of resources, historical facts, everything so we would have all we needed to make informed choices.
