Headed home!!

WOO HOO! Headed home! We had to get up at 4am!! Oh my that was so early! We had to leave the Academy by 5am to make it just over an hour drive to the rental car return place. They told us to plan on leaving 2 hours to return the car and catch the shuttle back before we had to get on the plane. The sunrise was so pretty!

We made it to car return and had no problem getting the shuttle back to the airport.. where it dropped us off infront of a HUGE line outfront for Southwest. We had to go through this huge snaking line outside to check in. It took a good 45 min. Finally got through it all and passed security and we had about an hour. It was prefect. Got some breakfast and waited. They started boarding our plane which was a connecting flight so people were already on it. We were pretty much towards the very last people to board the plane. They got almost to us to board and shut it down. Unloaded the plane and told us it had mechanical problems and we'd be waiting for a new plane to come in. Delay about an hour. Not too bad, better than having something go wrong in the air! The new plane came in and we boarded and headed for home!! Only an hour behind schedule.

The flight home seemed so long. I thought we'd never get there! We were just about to land when they had an announcement. A kid on the plane had a band and his group just signed a big record contract. They had him get up and sing us a song. This kid walks up and I'm thinking what in the world are you going to sing.. some grunge song or what. He busts out Jason Mraz I'm yours. I was floored! He was really good too! So now when he's big and famous I can say I saw him on a plane!

My mom and Kennedy came to pick me up from the airport. I was so excited to see Kennedy! She was hanging out the window yelling HI MOMMY!! She told me that I was stuck on the airplane at the airport and her and grandma had to come rescue me.. someone watches too much WonderPets.. but I loved it!
