Wednesday-Gettysburg

On Wednesday after class Chris, Sue, Me and 2 State Troopers from Wisconsin headed to Gettysburg. The one guy named Radford was a big history buff and had been there before so we got to have our own tour guide. It was nice because we got some of the highlights with out all the boring details. When we first came into Gettysburg we went to the Dobbin House. It used to be a big home that was there during the war and was part of the underground railroad. Its got a regular restaurant upstairs and a historic one downstairs. We headed down the old rock stairs to the basement. We had heard SO much about their french onion soup. I normally DO NOT LIKE french onion soup. No thanks. I'll pass. How can it even be good!? THIS WAS FANTASTIC! The BEST soup I've ever eaten. It could have been a whole meal!Sue, Me, and Chris
2 guys from Wisconsin
The menu was all in Ole English.. it was hard to figure out what the food really was and the quantity!
THE BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP! Lots of cheese on top, it had beef broth and chunks of beef in it, two big pieces of bread that had the cheese on top.. yum yum yum!!
Chris and I. The building has been there since 1776!
Headed to see the battlefield
We hiked up this HUGE tower to over look parts of the battlegrounds

IT WAS A CLIMB!

They had all these really neat monuments all over. Each one was different and had different states on them

Real cannon balls

Chris at the top of one of the big monuments. It had a stairwell in the inside you can climb up.

Up on the top
The battle ground was neat to see. We only got to see maybe even a third of it before it got dark. I wish we would have had more time to see more of it! The weather was so nice but it was pretty humid and hot!
