I rolled up Kennedy's pants and carried her over the water. I told her not to get into the water. I grabbed a hand full of hay and turned around to take it out. Kennedy had grabbed a handful of hay and was walking right through the puddle! I yelled at her and said "Get out of the water! I told you not to get wet!" Her reply was "MOM! I don't care about the water or if I get wet! My pony is hungry and I need to feed him!! I need to feed him!" Really how do you get mad at that!
Even though I'd rolled up her pants she still got them wet. Its ok that's why we put on play clothes to go out and feed anyways!
After that we came inside and had some lunch. She came up to me after she ate and said "Mom I made a mess while I was eating. I need the broom so I can clean it up! Where is it?" So I gave her the broom and dustpan. She swept and put the broom and dustpan back!Whose child is this!??!? How did she get such an understanding of responsibility at 2 years old? Oh I so hope its not a phase!!
