Saddles and Soup

This week has been busy! Yesterday especially. We worked some more on getting all the trim up in the house. We still have a TON to go but are making a good dent on it! Living room and hall way so far
Kinlie came to hang out with us for a little bit. We made some broccoli cheese soup and the two yahoos are eating it
That night we went down to West Jordan to get some saddles. This guy on ksl.com was selling them for $40 a piece!!! Thats ridiculously on sale if you know anything about tack! I needed a saddle and the one Joe has that he bought for $20 a while ago needed the stirrup fenders on it. So we figured if we could find one for parts but that instead of paying $70 for what we needed at Smith and Edwards. When we got there we found 2 great saddles and couldnt pass it up. They had been used by a dude ranch/guide service in the Grand Canyon so they are very well worn in. Anyone whose ridden much knows old and used is way more comfortable than brand new!
Here is my saddle before Joe cleaned it.. all it needed was stirrups (which we had) and a cinch (which we also had)
Here is Joe's saddle we got before he cleaned it up.. needs the same things..
Hard at work!
Mine cleaned
And the other side
Kennedy wanted to ride it in the kitchen...she sat on it forever
Joe working on his saddle. Parts are a little patched together but the saddle is pretty heavy and very well made underneath
