She rode him while I led him for a while and then we let the kids get on.
One of us would lead and the other would walk next to the kids to make sure they kept their balance. We found a small piece of rope and tied it to the halter so the kids could get used to the feel of holding reins and balance but not be tuggin on his mouth. Also to teach them how to ride with out holding the horn.
Lil cowgirls had A BLAST.
These two were crackin us up. Kinlie and Kennedy were arguing over whether the pony has feet or hooves. Very adamantly arguing. Kennedy insists you call it a pony. Kinlie kept calling it a horsey.
Kinlie and Liz
Me and Kennedy
He started having a little too much energy again so we worked him for a while in the driveway. Taught him how to lead again. Led Liz around on him some more.
While I was leading Liz around again my parents drove past. They had to turn around for a picture! When they came back my Dad was teasing Liz that I was leading her. We told him we didn't have a bridle. He said you don't need one! Tied the lead rope on and jumped on.
The saddle was a little loose so he bounced his tip toes from one side to the other like a teeter totter. He had him turn one way and then said see he listens. We were laughing because of course he listened, my dad was a little heavy for him so he didn't have much ambition to try and do anything besides stay standing.Just goes to show.. no one can resist a pony!
