Sickies

Its our weekend. Our days off. Our time to play. Time to get things done around the house. Time to have fun and blow off some workweek steam! NO!! Its our time to be sick as dogs. Blah! Kennedy has been sick for a while with a cold. About 2 weeks. She's on the tail end of it where she still sounds bad but has more energy. Day before yesterday Joe came down HARD with a cold. I've been battling one on and off but never gotten 'sick' just super run down and froggy voice. Last night I left work at 0030 and came home to sleep. I just couldn't do it anymore. I slept all night. Almost all day long AND Kennedy and I took a 2 1/2 hour nap. I had enough energy to take a shower and after that I needed a nap again.

Joe had about enough energy for a bath and to make some ramen noodles. We honestly spent pretty much the entire day sleeping or laying in bed. It was fantastic!! Haha. Joe kept getting worse and worse. He sounded horrible and I was on the upswing. He asked me if I would go get him some 'special cough medicine' And Kennedy was dying for some corn dogs...
I was excited to get out of the house so I ran into town. When I was leaving the driveway it was a light slushy rain but nothing too bad. By the time I made it to Harrisville the snow was starting to come down.. By the time I got the 'cough medicine' and walked outside it was a BLIZZARD!! It was so bad on the way home. I've driven in a ton of snowstorms and they don't bother me one bit. In fact I think they are fun. But this one was BAD! I couldn't see 2 ft on either side of my car and had NO clue where the lanes were or if I was even in my half of the road!

It took me forever to get home and was driving about 30 mph most of the way. Yes that's right I ventured out in a blizzard to get my husband some whiskey and to feed my child corn dogs for dinner. For some reason I feel like I should have gone with curlers in my hair and no bra.... I think that would have completed the stereotype :)

However Kennedy was SO happy when I came home with corn dogs and the whiskey made Joe feel a ton better. Cleared him up and helped his throat. He was dancing around in no time :)
